Whipple Enterprises began operation in 1949 manufacturing precision parts and assemblies for the medical, electronics and aerospace industries. In the process of automating its parts handling from automatic machining equipment,  the company sought -- but could not find --  cost-effective, compact conveyors in the marketplace that could meet the company’s needs.  Whipple had sought a solution that offered rapid installation, limited maintenance and one that would withstand the rigors of the production machine shop environment.  After finding limited product offerings on the existing conveyor market, Whipple’s engineering staff developed its own low-profile conveyor design, incorporating these stringent requirements.  Initially, Whipple’s modular conveyors were used only internally, to automate various functions for increased productivity.  But soon, seeing the widespread demand for comprehensive solutions, Whipple Enterprises released its Mini-Mover Conveyors to the marketplace, with immediate success. Through continuing market input, the Mini-Mover Conveyor product offering continues to expand rapidly.
