The Meaning of “Mini”

Many conveyor companies now say they have them. We started the wave: Mini conveyors. That’s all we make. We’re seeing scaled-down versions of maxi-sized units, touted as mini, hit the market lately. Try “midi.” There’s only so small you can ratchet down a design when “huge” was your starting point. What looks small to another conveyor maker looks pretty big to us.

Whipple’s Mini-Mover conveyor design was “mini” from the start. We do get asked to get “maxi-er” which is easy with our modular design — but the ability to go “mini-er” is what sets us apart from the rest. The demo mini conveyor below easily fits in my pocket. I store it in my pencil drawer.
