Transfer and Surge Functions for RTA Units

By adding a “stationary-fence” transfer station option to a Mini-Mover Rotary Table Accumulator (RTA), the unit can become a surge table. This allows for pause of product flow, before discharging product back onto the production line.

Pictured below is a combination of LP Series conveyor and RTA (rotary table accumulator) set up with surge (stationary fence) function as a corner transfer. This allows a speed-change in the line that’s transporting product.

The video below shows another application in which the stationary-fence on the RTA allows smooth transfer of upright bottles from conveyor to table. Whether the RTA is used for accumulation or transfer applications, the RTA turntable can rotate continuously or in intervals. When equipped with an indexing timer, the user can program separation intervals to create a buffer zone between delicate precision parts that transfer through the unit.
